* The Hantan River canyou at Goseokjeong
Goseokjeong is the place where Lim Kung-jung, a Robin Hood figure during King Myeongjong’s rule in the Joseon Dynasty, established his headquarters. He organized a group of people, built a stone castle on the other side of the river, stole government property on the way from Hamgyeong to the central government, and distributed the property to poor people. He used to hide in a natural stone room, which still remains in 20m-high Giambong at the center of the river. Goseok Bawi stands 23m high at the center of the river; along with Hantan River, they create an amazing scene.
